Trover the harelipped hound becomes the mascot of Trovers

February 13th, 2008

Trover arrives in AlderneyBack in the tail end of last year I was asked by ITV if I would be prepared to send some Trover products to Manchester Dogs Home where they were filming “Dog Rescue”  a programme to be broadcast Nationwide in the spring. As you know Trover Enterprises feel very strongly about rescue work and we were delighted to oblige. I stayed in contact with Sophie Farrah, the producer and happened to mention that if she found a little dog who was so ugly that no one wanted it please would she let me know.  To cut a long story short she did and last week emailed me about a staffie cross who had a hare lip . Exactly  a week later (Feb 12th) he was on a tiny plane bound for the island of Alderney with a film crew and Colin from the Manchester Dogs home. He is a star, he is now called Trover and is the company mascot. He has a wonderful joie de vivre and spreads happinness wherever he goes. Trixie Belle and Kipling (my original rescue pair) are learning to live with a man in the house, but he has chilled out completely.

He is learning all about sand, seaweed and the ocean,, having been found in Rochdale, and exploring loads of space to run and jump and leap for joy.

Trovers appoint a UK distributor

November 19th, 2007

Trover Enterprises Limited are delighted to announce that they have now appointed a UK distributor, Rondetto International. This will enable the increasingly popular TroverÒ dog and cat products to be shipped more quickly and easily across the length and breadth of Great Britain.

Based in the Channel Islands, this move will enable Trover Enterprises Ltd to develop both their product range and their overseas market. “We have now secured a foothold in Australia , with Europe and the US showing interest, “ says Toni Cherrett, the award winning designer of the TroverÒ Dog coat. “I have a lot more ideas for the future, the latest product will hit the market when its Intellectual Property (Registered Designs etc) are finalised.

The use of soft thigh cuffs to overcome all known dog coat problems, associated with the traditional underbelly strap, will remain central to the TroverÒ patented dog coat products and has proved to be highly successful with both dogs and their owners. Our products reflect the social changes in which our pets are increasingly becoming family members and travel with us.”

Robert Kemeny of Rondetto International says he is “delighted to have been appointed UK distributor for the premium range of TroverÒ Products. I believe that Trover Enterprises Ltd has unique products which we will be bringing to the UK market place. TroverÒ not only solves old problems but designs for the future.”
