Trover Coats have supported Cretan Cat-a-List for sveral years now. We are just a small group of volunteers trying to make a difference to the lives of stray cats in Crete. Our main focus is nuetering and rescuing abandoned kittens. Olive is one example, she is blind, thrown in an olive grove to die. She is now re-homed in Germany. Top of our wish list is funding for neutering so that we can continue our work.

I own an animal rescue called The Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Society (T.A.R.R.S). I rescue stray, abandoned, death row dogs and other animals if neccessary from death and destruction in warwickshire, U.K. I currently only have a few rented kennels but I make sure all the dogs are looked after, fed, loved and rehabilitated to except humans again after trauma. I desperately need funding to keep it going so I can buy my own kennels to house the dogs and other animals. All of the money I recieve through donations go towards neutering, vaccinating, worming, flea treatments, vet checks and housing for the animals. Top of our wish list as ever is funding to keep the work going, I do this on my own with the help of the owner of the kennels. Dash is a male, neutered GSD in the picture who is in need of a forever home. Animals can be seen on www.d4dogtraining.co.uk and I can be contacted on the e-mail above.

Agatha's Annex continues to give and find new homes for unwanted guinea pigs and rabbits as space allows. Care and support is given to their owners when needed. I was lucky and grateful to be supported last year by Trover Coats with a generous donation enabling the Annex to care for some rabbits who needed extra medical support enabling then to find new, safe, caring homes.

Voice of the Cats Alliance (Vocal), works in NE Crete. Mojo is being fostered and is waiting for a flight to go to a wonderful new home in Germany. He is about 8-10 years old and blind. He also has a broken jaw which makes eating a little difficult for him. He was brought to Vocal because he was starving out on the streets, unable to find food. Our work involves an ongoing sterilizing campaign of cats in the locality, rescue, care, recovery and finding homes for cats and kittens who cannot survive on the street. Any donations towards our cause are greatly appreciated. It costs 50 euros to sterilize a female cat and approximately 5 euros per week to keep a cat in a foster home. We also need dried cat food, heated sleeping pads, worm tablets and flea spot on treatments. Visit www.miaow.info

To become a member of Starfish means you want to make a difference in a personal and direct way.
The purpose of starfish is to make the world a better place by joining those individuals who are at the cutting edge of animal rescue, the rescuers and those who can enable it to happen or the support teams.
To become a member of starfish fill in the boxes on the home page.
The rescuers please put up your website and give a short overview of what you do, including your photo and what you need.
A wish list including branded goods would be useful, like "Ancol collars" or "Pedigree Chum dog food" or "Trover Dog Coats" or cash. If you ask for cash make sure you mention how much and how it would be spent. Also give as many contact details as you can. If you want people to make dog coats give them a pattern! click here to go back to the message board.
If you would like to be part of the support teams and want to make a difference in 2008 enter your details and what you can offer.
Remember that the rescuers are so busy that you will probably need to contact them by phone or email.
Why starfish?
